Caryn attended Benedictine College earning her undergraduate degree in psychology and went on to receive her Masters of OT from Rush University in Chicago. She has been an occupational therapist for more than 30 years. Most of this time has been spent working in pediatrics. Caryn has been fortunate to have worked with children of all ages with a wide range of abilities and needs in schools, Early
Intervention, home settings, and in outpatient pediatric clinics. She believes that every milestone achieved is a cause to celebrate! Caryn enjoys working with children as well as parents, team members,
medical professionals, and a variety of administrators and is a strong advocate for children and their families. She has been a mentor, supervisor, director, and business owner. She has also had the
opportunity to present on a variety of developmental, sensory, motor, and occupational therapy-related topics and believes a holistic and functional approach to pediatric therapy is the most valuable. Recently, Caryn was a college instructor and program director of an occupational therapy assistant program. But what she is most proud of is seeing the smiles of children of all ages that have come with their accomplishments. Caryn is also a pediatric aquatics therapist and believes in the healing properties of water. She developed this passion as a swimmer, lifeguard, and swim instructor in high school and college and continues to swim when possible. Caryn and her husband, Brian, have three adult children and three grandchildren. She loves adventures with them including visiting the beach in Florida where she grew up and at their family cottage in Michigan laughing with family and friends.
