Physical Therapist

Kayleigh studied at Indiana University South Bend, received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and graduated from Andrew’s University in Berrien Springs, Michigan with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. After studying mental health, she decided to change her focus and continue her education in physical health and applied to physical therapy school shortly after graduating while working at the University of Notre Dame.  Entering physical therapy school, she was planning on a career in sports medicine/rehabilitation, until she had her first pediatrics course. She has various experiences working with children, including coaching gymnastics, working as a youth developmental associate for The Boys and Girls Club, and working alongside her mother as a tutor for children with learning disabilities.   She chose to complete two of her three twelve-week clinicals in pediatrics. The first clinical was an outpatient setting with home-based services and the second setting was an inpatient children’s hospital in Orlando Florida where she treated patients in the NICU, PICU, Oncology/Transplant unit, Cardiac unit, and women’s care. Although challenging, she loved the experiences and all that she learned in these different settings and knew pediatrics was for her.

Kayleigh is looking forward to starting her journey with Milestone. She is most looking forward to learning new skills, growing as a new therapist, and making a positive impact in her clients’ lives. Some fun facts about her are that she loves to travel, attend concerts and sporting events, and loves to be outdoors, especially on a beach!
