Speech Therapist
Mayela attended Midwestern University, where she completed her master’s in Speech-Language Pathology. During school, she worked as an RBT with children on the Autism Spectrum. She completed her clinical fellowship year with Milestone Therapy, working in the school and outpatient hospital setting. Mayela’s first experience in pediatric therapy began in 2007 when her younger brother was diagnosed with ASD and began receiving services through EI. Mayela loves working with kids and is passionate about seeing gains in a child’s communication skills and devoting herself to giving others a voice. A fun fact about her is that she loves cooking, dancing, and spending time with her dogs.
