Raven completed her Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy at Chicago State University in 2001. She is pursuing her Master’s in Health Sciences at Northern Illinois University. Her awareness of the OT field sparked as a teen when her grandfather required home health therapy after suffering a stroke. Raven was mesmerized by the clinicians’ skills and personal approach that resulted in her grandad’s recovery. Her persistent drive to help others solve problems and live better lives found the field of OT to be a perfect match. Raven has practiced OT in 3 states. Raven has acquired invaluable OT experiences over the years in several settings including Early Intervention, long-term care, short-term rehab, EI, Schools across Chicagoland, Home Care, and assisted living. She favors working with the pediatric population most because the motivational bright smiles from successful kiddoes and sincere thank you’s from their families are so rewarding! She aims to give compassionate, client-centered care with every connection. Raven has 3 blossoming young adult children and 2 poodle mix fur babies named Chocolate and Penelope. She enjoys everything neuroscience, treasure hunts at thrift stores, and helping people in need figure things out.
A fun fact about Raven is she loves music and singing and is always down for a round of karaoke!
