Speech Language Pathologist

Victoria graduated from Southern Illinois University in 2023 with her Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology. During her time at SIUC, she gained additional experience working alongside her professor, as an SLP Graduate Assistant for the Head Start Preschool program and administration of EI services. She collaborated with BCBA Therapists and Occupational Therapists in supporting complex communication needs and educated administrative staff on direct instruction and the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).

In addition to her Graduate Assistant position, she was also able to optimize her experience with dysphagia and cognitive therapy by taking on an additional externship at  SSM Good Samaritan Hospital in the in-patient acute care unit. She completed her pediatric clinical rotation at a high school where she gained extensive experience providing treatment for children with self-injurious behaviors and a wide variety of other speech, language, and communication disorders. Victoria is immensely passionate about working with children, and has always known working with kids was in her future since coaching the “mommy and me” gymnastics classes at 16 years old. She enjoys building unique relationships with her clients, and their families, and always tailors treatment to meet their needs.

Fun fact: Victoria loves adrenaline and enjoys exploring amusement parks, traveling, and baking in her free time.
